All the Cares in the World is Cindi Maciolek’s tribute to her mother Mary — told through a memoir, a music album, and a one-woman show. Because some stories deserve to be heard every possible way.
It’s a funny, heartbreaking, and completely true story of nearly seven years spent caring for the sweetest most stubborn woman from Detroit.
She was four feet eleven inches tall, owned more clocks than you would believe, and had opinions about everything. She lived to one hundred. And she changed everything.
All the Cares in the World offers an honest, funny, and deeply human look at the world of the full-time caregiver. Cindi pulls from her years in that role to create a story that is specific enough to feel true and universal enough to feel like yours.
“Of course it’s sad. We all know what happens in the end. I miss my Mom terribly. But a lot of funny things happened along the way and the stories are just too good to keep to myself. This is the greatest tribute I could give to her, and I hope by sharing our story, others will be able to see the true joy in the difficult work of caring for a loved one.”

Author Bio:
Cindi Maciolek is a writer, producer, publisher, and songwriter based in Las Vegas, Nevada. A Detroit native with a background in journalism, she has spent her career telling stories — in print, on stage, and in song.
She is the founder of Grand Arbor Press, LLC, under which she has published multiple titles including novels, nonfiction, and children’s books. Her songwriting spans genres from pop to country to musical theater.
All the Cares in the World began as a series of notes she kept during the nearly seven years she spent as a full-time caregiver to her mother Mary in Las Vegas. Those notes became the start of a one-woman show, then an album, and now a memoir — a tribute to a woman who lived one hundred years and never once wasted a minute.
“When Mom was alive, I would share stories about my caregiver experiences with friends and family who would laugh to the point of crying,” Cindi says. “I kept joking that I would take the show on the road once she passed on. So here I am. I wanted to reach as many people as possible, so the memoir and album help me do that.”
Cindi is currently working on several adjacent projects including books, journals and merchandise, as well as a memoir with a different focus, a fun musical, and more music.
